Test II (description)
Dear Sirs & Madammes,
It seems we are finally having our second test on Friday 20th, that is, in a week's time. We have discussed about its format and agreed to structure 3 parts as follows:
I.- Countries & Capitals. You will be given a list of English speaking countries and a list of twice as many capitals. You’ll have to match them accurately.
II.- Answer questions about basic aspects developed by your mates in those presentations you made on English speaking countries.
III.- You will be expected to answer questions and analyse briefly questions/ideas which deal with The Right to Equality and The Effects of Colonialism.
As you can see, nothing you can't deal with. Tests and their results are never a matter of luck so: get ready. See you on Friday!

Info on Test I Results and Make-up Test
Dear students, by now you must have all got your Test I grades. As you were told in the previous bit of information, it was prof. Gonzalez's duty to correct, mark and send you the grades. We have learnt that some of you have had problems in "decoding" the email intended to inform about the grade. If such is your case send a note to prof. Gonzalez's email account and explain what your particular situation is. Regarding the date for the make-up test, it has been originally scheduled for January 8th 2009, 12 m - 2 pm. Professors in the chair will later on make the final arrangements and decision, but that seems to be the best date and time so that 1) we will not miss any classes to set up the test, 2) it will interfere as little as possible with the presentations you have to perform starting the second week in January, 3) students from both morning and afternoon classes will be able to attend in one group, and 4) it will imply some similar sacrifice for everybody since people who study in the morning will have to leave later, those who study in the afternoon will have to get to the institute before the usual time; besides the test will begin in the morning which is one of prof. Gonzalez's free shifts and end up in the afternoon which is one of prof. Duran's free shifts. Thus we will all have our share of responsibility and sacrifice. Decide whether you are going to take that test and, please, let us know about your decision as soon as you can.
Notice you've still got the time to take the necessary provisions if you need a special permit from your boss at work, taking into account the test will be set in a day and time other than your regular time table.
Needless to say that in case you decide to take it you must make sure you are going to do better this time. It makes no sense to apply for a second opportunity if you do not have the will power it takes to gather the necessary time and effort to make better in a second chance.
We are already working on it! How about you?

Papers
You've got plenty of information in these blogs to help you through your making of the research paper, but apparently you have not been paying much attention to that. So...
Please, do not forget to take into account three details:
1.- Your paper MUST include both quotations and bibliography (have you noticed they are different?)
2.- Make sure you give credit to EVERY and EACH source of information you use/quote other than yourselves. Disregarding this regulation will result in getting a mark of 1 point for such a task.
3.- You are not allowed to include more than 50% of digital/virtual sources in your bibliography.
Please, DO pay some atention to these lines. We hope not to say "I told you...".
Do take care, have fun, enjoy yourselves and READ!
